A Puggle is a very popular hybrid designer breed. This breed is a mixture of a Pug and a Beagle. Both of these breeds are fantastic with children and make wonderful family pets. The are several reasons for this crossing. A pug is well recognized for their short pushed in faces. Sometimes these smushy faces can result in breathing difficulties. By crossing the pug with the beagle, they have a less pushed in face and in turn less respiratory issues. The Beagle is an active breed, who enjoys running and the outdoor life. By crossing them with the pug, you get a more laid back dog. The Puggle breed enjoys both resting on the couch or playing out in the yard. They are considered small to medium in size. For this reason, this breed can be owned in either an apartment or a house situation. The Puggle does require some daily exercise. For this reason, people who are unable to schedule in a little bit of play time should pass on this breed. A daily walk or playing some ball out in the yard will be plenty for your puggle puppy. This breed does shed a small amount and does require some brushing. To reduce the shedding, Canine Corral recommends adding a skin and coat oil supplement. This vitamin, when added to the food daily, will reduce the shedding significantly. For this reason, this breed is not recommended for people who have dog allergies. They are smart, fun and easy to own.
