The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an alert, active, and happy breed. They are a large breed stuck in a small breed’s body. Even though they have short, little legs, they are full of stamina and very lively. The temperament of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi is friendly and outgoing. They are good with other breeds and other animals. Lots of Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s are owned on farms or barns. They are full of stamina and are well capable of a day’s work on the farm. They are low set and strong and can keep up with all types of cattle. The look of a Corgi is very foxy like. They have big ears and a pointy face. Their coat is full, straight and dense. The coats come in a wide variety of colors, including red, sable, fawn or black and tan. They can come with or without white markings on legs and neck. Their coats do shed, making it not a good breed for people with dog allergies. Regular brushing of your Pembroke Welsh Corgi, will reduce the shedding and make it more manageable. They are considered a medium sized breed. Many families like them for smaller children as they are not so fragile.
