The Rat Terrier is full of energy and you must have patients. My Rat Terrier goes after squirrels, rodents and birds. They have a prey instant and the tugging on the Chain is unbearable. They tend to try and get lost to jump over the fence for they love to chase other dogs and cats. I love my Rat Terrier , but if you are not a people person out and about , please do not consider this dog your average stay at home. They need lots of love and a big yard to roam in. Not a Family Pet either. Better with a Single Person and No Children around for they tend to get into trouble as well. Good Luck!
